What:

During this class, we will hear from Rev. Young about how to draw nearer to God in our personal relationships with him through learn how to properly read and interpret God’s Word to us. This will look like exploring how to understand the different literary features of the Scriptures, how to interpret difficult passages, and how to apply the truth of the Bible to our contemporary lives. 

Schedule:

8:30am - Check-in and registration (orange juice, coffee, donuts, etc. will be available)
9am - Prayer and Class Begins
Topic 1 - The need for interpretation, it's goal and the use of translations and study tools
Topic 2 - Understanding the Literature of the Bible: Old Testament
10:10am - break
10:20am - class resumes
Topic 3 - Understanding the Literature of the Bible: New Testament
Topic 4 - Applying the Text Responsibly
11:30am - Prayer and Dismissal
